I'm Alison Wyrick Mendoza. I'm a word & idea architect with an interest in additive manufacturing and aviation. When I want to sound fancy, I say I am a business development, commercial leadership, and marketing, brand, and communication professional with a diverse background in commercial aviation, aerospace MRO, and additive manufacturing (AM).
I enjoy and excel at projects that focus on brand building, storytelling, product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement.
I've spent time in various roles at Emirates Airline, AeroTurbine, Honeywell Aerospace, and now, GE Additive.
I grew up with an intrigue and interest in multilingualism and multiculturalism and I spent several years living and working overseas. I moved back to the US in 2013 and now live in Scottsdale, Arizona with my husband, son, and baby on the way. Luckily, I still get to travel the world to talk with people about AM. I hold a BA in Linguistics and a MBA with a focus in Aviation.
I'm a curious, collaborative, life-long learner and innovator. I can think divergently and to turn those thoughts into action. I'm always interested in creating & doing cool things with like-minded individuals. I also believe there is value in learning about other cultures; I've lived in 4 countries, and visited 61 as of 2021.
In 2017, I launched an online presence (this blog!) to help bring awareness to 3D printing. You can follow me currently here, on LinkedIn or Twitter using #AdditiveAlison or the @AdditiveAlison handle.
